She has a great voice, she writes thoughtful lyrics and classically trained, plays a mean piano". Go to tracks “Your Hands on me”, “Under My Skin” and a cover of Snow Patrols “Chasing Cars” ..... Pieter Van Wessem - Sounds Australia 2016 - Way Out Radio U.K. "Feel So Pretty is one of the most delightful albums that I've heard in a long while".... The Count 2016 - Wednesday Night Coffee Morning Radio Show 2mcr “I appreciate anyone who listens to the album will head for 'Chasing Cars' (which I must admit is stunning) because of its familiarity, but if skipping the excellent original tracks is the listeners thing, then it is they who lose out. As a package this is so beautifully performed and produced. The music is engrossing and the lyrics are personal and full of meaning. 2016 now has a benchmark for other releases from Australia and it's now set very high thanks to you Trysette”. ..... Dave - Wednesday Night Coffee Morning 2015 - KTLA News 5 Entertainment Editor - Michael Joseph James "At a time when we needed it most - mainly to contrast the auto-tuned, standardized offerings meant for those who text more than they talk - this album arrives like a dear friend, back from a long journey. At once, the music of Trysette could be called 'intimate', with her crystal voice telling tales of the heart and life in a way that is both engaging and delicate. There are songs that don't even attempt to hide her Aussie accent, which plays to the sheer accessibility and openness of the music itself. The instrumentation, by and large, is piano-centric - (she is clearly schooled) with backing from studio musicians using instruments familiar to the ear - and to this listener, comforting. This album is tricky and unapologetically female. (take notes, gents) It has a way of getting 'under your skin' with melodies so tastefully crafted, you barely notice humming them to yourself while folding socks, working out, changing a tire, etc. Before typing this review, I sat back with headphones to properly SEE the music, and found much to appreciate, dissect, and enjoy. I think you will, too" |
